hilogic launches PRINCE2:2009 in kuala lumpur, malaysia
Media Release Date: 28 August 2009
2009 has become an important milestone in the history of project management with the release of the newly enhanced PRINCE2 project management method.
Since its publication in 1996 PRINCE2 has become the world’s must used project management method and most sought after project management certification with over 450,000 certified.
On 19 August HiLogic became the very first accredited PRINCE2 training organization to conduct training and certification in Malaysia based on the newly released PRINCE2 model.
The training was conducted by HiLogic’s Lead Trainer Vincent Marsi, who is recognized as one of the PRINCE2 pioneers in the region.
“Delegates from last week’s course were the first in south east Asia to achieve PRINCE2 certification under the newly released 2009 version. We received excellent feedback from delegates on the practicality of the methodology and were excited that all candidates passed their Foundation certification exam.”
“We envisage the methodology enhancements made will allow PRINCE2 to remain the project management method of choice and the predominant global project management certification”.
PRINCE2 is a comprehensive and flexible project management method appropriate for all types of projects regardless its size or nature. At its core are seven management processes explaining how to control each phase of a project with guidance on how to scale the methodology for both simple and complex projects.
“The benefits to an organization using PRINCE2 are immense. PRINCE2 provides organizations a cost effective approach to align to best practice governance for project management. A PRINCE2 project is an environment where project responsibilities are clear, projects are regularly reviewed for business justification and learnings are captured as part of a continuous improvement cycle”.
Organizations have invested heavily on competency based project management training and not always received a return on their training investment. One reason for this is that organizations often lacked a standard for project managers to follow. This often led to noticeable inconsistencies in application and performance. PRINCE2 however establishes a best practice standard that all projects must conform to along with a common project management vocabulary.
“By adopting a common approach aligned to best practice organizations will achieve better project outcomes.”
