Project Assurance
Project Assurance is integral to the function of a project management team. The role provides independent assessment and advice to both senior management and the project manager. Functions of the Project Assurance role may include:
- Review of key project documents such as the Business Case and Project Plan
- Checking the technical aspects of the Project Approach
- Advising on internal and external standards that need to be met
- Confirming the appropriateness of Work Packages
- Development of risk management plans
- Examination of project issues
- Ensuring the right people are involved in the project
