Course Aims
The Overview course will:
- Explain the value of PRINCE2
- Provide awareness of the method's terminology
- Introduce participants to the processes, components and techniques used to manage projects
- Explain how key elements of the method are used to effectively control a project
- Explain how Project Managers control the work of teams and how teams contribute to the success of a project.
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Understand the value of PRINCE2
- Effectively contribute to a PRINCE2 managed project
- Understand the terminology used by the method
- Utilise project management tools to report progress and issues
- Use tools to control the work of teams

Anyone wanting to understand how they can effectively contribute to a project being managed within a PRINCE2 environment.
Course Composition
This course provides an introduction into project management and an overview of PRINCE2's Processes, Components and Techniques. Participants will be given the opportunity to apply key elements of this project management method.
Course Prerequisite
No prerequisite qualifications or courses are required for this training.
Course Delivery
To support the different ways people learn, the Overview course includes a mixture of presentation, class and group exercises and question and answer sessions.
The Overview training is delivered as an in-house training program and can be tailored and delivered as either a ½ day or 1 day event.
